The red dot design award is an internationally recognised distinction for outstanding accomplishment in design and is a certification for highest design quality.
Kinnasand has been presented with a red dot design award 2008 in the product design sector for their METALLIC TEXTILES product group and carpets ZENIT and WAVE.
An international jury evaluates the submitted products according to attributes such as innovation, functionality, technical quality and emotional content.
METALLIC TEXTILES by KINNASAND stands for a collection sequence of technically sophisticated, double-layered fabrics, which due to the use of varnished steel and metal yarns inspire an outstanding interpretation of modern living culture.
ZENIT combines the traditional knotting technique with a timeless, modern design and is a unique design property for floor arrangements. ZENIT is made from pure New Zealand wool and features a particularly dense quantity of knots, 275.000 knots per m², thus establishing the most exclusive level in the Kinnasand Carpet Collection.
WAVE is the innovative advancement of the classic Kinnasand Kelim. The special wavy surface of the 3-D Kelim double-weave WAVE, is created by using a visible filling weft of coloured wick yarn. The colouring of WAVE SMALL, WAVE MEDIUM and WAVE LARGE, as well as other Kinnasand designs in this WAVE quality, can be freely chosen from 81 colours.
